ABOUT US | HEALTH IN ACTION

HEALTH IN ACTION is a women-led organisation, founded in the year 2020 in Soshanguve, a township geographically located 30km North of Pretoria, Tshwane District, Gauteng Province, South Africa. The district is one of the priority districts with a high burden of HIV disease according to the National Department of Health’s National Strategic Plan for HIV, TB and STI’s (2017-2022).

The organisation was founded with an aim to reduce Human Rights inequalities by making quality healthcare services accessible to that predominantly disadvantaged community. A Sexual and Reproductive Health Care Centre was established to provide services to the community where two of the founders were born and raised. One of the founders was born and raised in a township in the rural province of Limpopo where the organisation was to later spread its wings to provide its services.

Our organisational behaviour is guided by the following Principles:
- Commitment to protecting and promoting Human Rights.
- A response that is inclusive and participatory.
- A people-centred approach.
- A multi-sectoral approach.
- Ensuring that no one is left behind

Raise a generation that cares about health.

Bring quality healthcare and wellness to all.
